Tim Johnston earned his bachelor’s degree in psychology at Arizona State University in Tempe, Arizona. In 2017, after graduating from ASU, he enrolled into Walden University online to complete his Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. He graduated in February 2019, and obtained his license as a professional counselor in April 2023. Tim felt a calling to provide Christ-centered counseling, leading him to seek out work with C2 Counseling.
He utilizes a variety of therapeutic approaches including Person centered therapy, Dialectical Behavior therapy, Cognitive Behavioral therapy, Narrative therapy, and Psychodynamic therapy, while also integrating biblical principles and scriptures to further facilitate long term emotional, mental, and spiritual healing and growth.
He is passionate about helping adults, children, and couples heal from trauma and abuse that is negatively impacting their daily lives.
Tim is currently undergoing education and training through the Gottman’s institute for Couple’s therapy. Tim is also passionate about helping couples find the joy, love, and intimacy in their relationships that were once there, or even helping them discover it for the first time.
Tim will meet you where you are with no agenda in mind other than to help you achieve the desired outcomes and goals for your life. With gentle nudging, compassion, and empathy, he will walk with you to discover who God has created you to be and the life you were destined to live.
