Priscilla is a graduate of Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi where she received her Bachelor of Applied Science in Criminal Justice in 2003 and her Master of Science in Counseling in 2012. Priscilla began her professional career working as a Community Supervision Officer. This opportunity allowed her to gain experience working with the court system and motivated her to pursue a degree in counseling. During her graduate practicum, she worked with the Women’s Shelter of South Texas. There she provided counseling, advocacy, crisis intervention and support to women, children and families.
Priscilla received her LPC Associate provisional license in September 2019 and is currently working towards becoming a Licensed Professional Counselor. Her experience includes domestic violence, advocacy, crisis intervention, suicidal ideations, stress management and juvenile delinquency. She uses skills and techniques drawn from Person Centered, Motivational Interviewing and Solution-Focused Therapies. Priscilla believes that genuinely connecting with clients allows barriers to come down and progress to be made. She knows how important it is to motivate clients to find meaning and purpose in their lives to make changes.
