Laurie received her Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies with an emphasis in Education and International and Latin American Studies from the University of Arizona in 1999. She obtained her Master of Science in Clinical and Mental Health Counseling from Texas A & M - Corpus Christi in 2009.
Laurie began counseling in the great state of Texas over 10 years ago. She is a state board Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor and a Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor who specializes in addiction and trauma counseling . She use s an integrative therapeutic approach , which takes into consideration an individual’s unique set of presenting symptoms. Laurie works together to build a well-rounded treatment plan for you . Some of the counseling approaches that Laurie uses are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) and Mindfulness.
